But even after the end of colonialism, this book is banned in India till date. However, this book was also banned in countries like America, Canada, Australia and Japan.

There were litigation in all the countries regarding this matter and eventually publishers in other countries including England won. The ban on the book was lifted. But it is still banned in India. Lady Chatterley’s lover was accused of obscenity. But films were made on it at different times, all the characters and books inspired by it were written. Now a new film made on this book is ready for release on Netflix and it is believed that it will also be available in India.
